In my home town of Granby, Ma the minimum wage is $7.50. I could rent a room for $495 in Springfield which is a town right near Granby. I would make anywhere between $900-$1200 a month that would leave me with $405 - $705 a month. I would have to live off $135 - $176.25. The room comes with heating, electric, gas and water so I won't have to buy water or pay for heating. I eat about $15 - $25 worth of food a day, or about $140 a week but if I had to I could eat less. Money would be tight and I would be living paycheck to paycheck, but minus a major setback, like losing my job, I think I could do it.

City Life

Living in Boston has been a fun and new experience for me. Coming from a small town (graduated with 70 other kids) to this great city has been a big adjustment. I love this city though. Some places of great interest are BHOP or the Boston House of Pizza, where you have to get the buffalo chicken pizza. I also enjoyed going to the Prudential Building and taking in the sights. The most important place has to be Fenway Park. Not only is the ball park the greatest place in the world but on the walk or run over you have Shaw's, Best Buy, movies, and many other points of entertainment. I also figured out how to get to Boston College to see a couple of football games. I just starting to explore the city but in the three weeks I have been here I have found so many great things, including the Church of Scientology. My peers and I have even started to do night runs where we run for four miles trying to find the Simmons swimming pool which closes at 8:00 p.m. if you were wondering. I can't wait to experience that place of interest, the swimming hole. In the future I'm looking forward to going to the Boston Garden and watch the Celtics. I can't wait to see the rest of Boston but over the past three weeks those are the places I have discovered.

Blogs

http://www.celticsblog.com/
I like this blog because it is about the Celtics who after some offseason moves should be one of the best teams in the NBA. This blog also talks about other NBA teams.

I pick this one because it talked about all of baseball. It talked about how good all the teams are doing and which team is laying the best and which team is the team to beat.

I picked this blog because I hate the Yankees. This talks about how much they suck and also talks a little bit about the Sox, but I like reading about how much the Yankees suck.

About Me

My name is Sean Hurley. I love sports, music, playing video games, and just hanging out. My favorite sports are soccer, basketball and whiffle ball, but I'll play anything. I love all types of music, from Tupac, to the Stones and even a little Earth Wind and Fire and the Beegee's. The only thing I hate is country, and screaming "I hate the world" rock. My Ipod is very diverse, there's not much I don't have. For video games I am a huge "Guitar Hero" fan and sports game. Outside of that stuff I love hanging out, going out to eat, going to the Sox games, and Celtics games. I also went to my first Boston College game that was exciting, my friend and I got in for free and sat in the student section, we even told people we were from Boston College so they gave us thunder sticks. That is pretty much my life.
